Darwin's God - my favorite critique of Darwinism which points out the theological assumptions required to make evolution work.
Origins, Linking Science and Scripture - a good book examining the issues of origins from a holistic view, defending the choice of believing scripture. He does a fairly good job of being fair to all sides, though it is obviously from a creationist perspective.
Understanding the Pattern of Life: Origins and Organization of the Species - a good book on creationist biosystematics. It's chapter on biodiversity is excellent, as well as the rest of the book. What I liked best about the book is that it is almost entirely constructive, not a debate book on the merits of creation and evolution. It simply focuses on creation biology.
The Panda's Thumb: More Reflections in Natural History - this is one of the best evolution books I've read. I like Gould because he really seems enthralled with nature and is very honest and searching in his arguments. Unlike Dawkin's books, it's a wonderful read and I recommend it to anyone.
